Jose Pedro Garcia was born May 5, 1837 in Mier, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Juan de Dios Garcia and Maria Justa Garcia. Isabel Salinas born December 3, 1839 in Mier, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Jose Pio Salinas and Maria Gregoria Guerra. Pedro and Isabel were married November 30, 1861 in Mier, Tamaulipas, Mexico. They had the following children: Nicolasa Garcia, Ma. Celsa Garcia, Ma. Francisca, Ma. Estefana, Ma. Teodula, Eusebio, Rafael, Jose Francisco, and Maria. Nicolasa married Francisco Salinas, son of Jose A. Salinas and Emilia Guerra, Celsa married Albino Guerra, Francisca married Alvino Garcia, Estefana married Jose Alejos Guerra, Teodula married Jose Lucio Guerra, Eusebio married 1st Brunita Guerra 2nd Antonia Saenz, Rafael married Paula Saenz, Maria married Martin Guerra and Francisco (first born) married unknown. Francisca and Francisco were born in Mier, Tamaulipas, Mexico and the other children were born in San Diego, Texas, Duval County, Texas. There is a twenty two year difference in age between the first born (Francisco) and the youngest child (Eusebio). They lived most of their lives at El Brazil Ranch in Starr County, Texas. Four of the Garcia sisters married into the Guerra family. Teodula married Jose Lucio Guerra who had a daughter named Anastacia Guerra who married Salvador Salinas, son of Jose A. Salinas, brother to Francisco Salinas.

Dario Rigoberto Garcia, Jr. was born on January 4, 1920 in San Carlos Ranch in Starr County, Texas to Eusebio Garcia and Antonia Saenz. Eusebio was the son of Jose Pedro Garcia and Isabel Salinas. Judge Dario married Laurentina Cortez November 5. 1944 and they had four children-Hector Homero, Francisco Xavier, Laura Hilda and Dario R. Garcia, Jr. Dario's sister was Blanca Estela Garcia pictured here in her wedding. He also had a brother named Rafael Garcia, pictured below.
